Facebook posters

Facebook is an interesting phenomenon in terms of what people say about themselves. One of the more interesting aspects of Facebook, for me, are the different types of posters everyone probably has in their list of friends. What follows in a premature attempt to define a few of the various typologies.

The religious poster.
John 3:16 has left sporting events and now decorates our facebook feeds

The boring poster.
Oatmeal for breakfast? Who cares. Put some interesting, please

The Over-poster

Everything, all the time.  Sometimes it’s fun, sometime’s its dumb.

The jokester poster.
Only the fun stuff, ladies and germs.

The “out-there” poster (Otherwise known as the ‘Armagedeon’ poster)
Got a political agenda? How about some conspiracy theories? Let’s get crazy. These folks have agendas, and they are bound to let you know about them.

The “Emotive” poster
I’m happy, I’m sad. I’m having a great day. I’m not.

The “Liker”

This person doesn’t post, they just “like” yours.

What about the posting of dinner pictures? Has to be a better name than “that guy”.

  2. Also there are the ‘my kid did this’ posters. They may fall under all categories but I think they require a special one of their own.
